Need a facelift for your wardrobe but don’t want to spend a fortune in the process?

Come along to my garage sale this Sunday and sort through the piles of clothes size 8-14, accessories, shoes and knick knacks that have been filling up my spare bedroom…..

It’s all for charity – all $$$ and left over clothes will go to the Jarrah House in Little Bay, a residential treatment facility for women and their children with substance abuse problems.

The first time Annabel Lwin hit the scene, she wasn’t wearing anything. Some might say it was all down hill from there, but I beg to differ. When Malcolm McLaren put the fourteen-year old singer of Bow Wow Wow on a record cover, sitting nude on the grass in an homage to Manet’s Déjeuner sur l’Herbe, her fellow musicians were dressed like Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean. It didn’t take Annabel long to figure out that she’d got the rum deal.

The next time we saw her, she was wearing a puffy shirt.

So you thought Wax On was just a party? Think again. On Friday December 4th, Wax On: The Exhibition opens at the Hazlehurst Regional Gallery at Gymea. It’s a fantastic exhibition, curated by BGSR’s Nell Schofield and featuring the work of some of our talented members. It will be a great kick off to a weekend when too much BGSR is not enough.
