It’s summer time at Bondi and the crew at Bondi Girls Surfriders take time out from club competitions for a very good reason.
It’s backpacker season, which means that if the sun shines, roughly 40,000 sun lovers hit the beach and a gazillion surfers of all ages and abilities paddle out hoping to catch a wave with less than 10 people on it.
It is easily the busiest time of the year at Bondi Beach and the most frustrating time to surf, so the BGSR girls take a well deserved break. (more…)
It’s a joyous day when a friend gets married to the love of their life and Christine Riakos, who joined us a few years ago has quickly become a favourite friend of ours here at BGSR. Our favourite American BGSR charger has been spending a lot of time in the Colorado Rockies of late. Kelly has been missing the Bondi Girls Surfriders, and the epic surf we experience down at Bondi every day so much, that she’s coming back for a visit in 2012.
