So you thought Wax On was just a party? Think again. On Friday December 4th, Wax On: The Exhibition opens at the Hazlehurst Regional Gallery at Gymea. It’s a fantastic exhibition, curated by BGSR’s Nell Schofield and featuring the work of some of our talented members. It will be a great kick off to a weekend when too much BGSR is not enough. This exhibition is dedicated to you so if you can’t read the fine print on the invite – the opening on Dec 4 starts at 6pm and Little Patti is doing the honours by singing her hit song (the #55 top surf song of all time!) ‘He’s my blonde headed stompy wompy real gone surfer boy’.
There are works in the show by members Kaye Llewelyn and Kylie Roberts and it’s curated by me (another member). So catch the party train from the Junction to Gymea and head over to Hazelhurst Regional Gallery – the eye of the Shire.
